Read Ahead provides elementary school students with reading-based mentoring programs and the resources that strengthen their confidence and prepare them for future success.
Our Schools and Students
We serve approximately 650 elementary school students at 8 partner schools each year.
Our Program
Read Ahead is a reading-based mentoring program for elementary school students. Volunteers from our corporate and community partners are matched with a student for the school year to read and spend time together during the students’ lunch hour each week.
Our Mentors
Read Ahead has 1,100 volunteer mentors who make our program possible each year.
